I know that God never want's us to feel comfortable in the sense that we should always want to grow... but does it ever seem to you that when you begin to feel happy in some place something changes... We are supposed to be content wherever we are... I suppose that though I trust God... and though I know that I don't deserve and don't expect anything more than what He has given me and though if He didn't do another thing for me for the rest of my life I would still be grateful... sometimes I just struggle with enjoying life... Then again no one ever said that we are supposed to like life... in fact scriptures says those who love life will lose it... so maybe it's not so bad.

I love life.... is that a bad thing? You know... if you're content and happy with every aspect in your life you would probably be better off! I don't believe that in that circumstance that your whole life would change.

We're not supposed to love life so much that we can't give it up but I think it's good to enjoy life and be happy. Your turn's coming. I feel it! There! Don't you feel better?

how can you be a TRUE witness to God's glory and power and not like and enjoy life? How can you say that you would truley be greatful for the rest of your life if God does one more thing for you, you would think that Jesus dying for us would be enough reason to look at our life and feel blessed and loved. If noone ever said you didn't have to like life then why try to get better? Why not wallow in self pity and stay sad all the time and make no effort to get out.

Ecclesiastes... You think it's depressing, but it isn't. Qoheleth (the Teacher) says that it is a gift from God to enjoy our work and that we should love life while we can. It is "hebel": It is "breath" or "vapor." "Fleeting," if you will. I understand what you're saying, but the fact that things change so often (and that life is short) proves the need for enjoyment. Work was the Curse, but enjoyment of it is the Blessing.
