brick wall

so i've been battling this spiritual... thing for quite a while. i have been doing very well, but i seem to have hit a brick wall. after about 4 weeks of almost completely forgetting about it (yes, i keep count... it's that important) i seem to have hit a wall. i can't get my mind off it. i struggle constantly. every moment is a choice.

i would normally post this on my blog but i figured it'd get more reads here. i'd really appreciate prayer support on this.

i bet you guys are getting bored of me posting something like "hey, guys i posted again" and linking you to my site. well, here's the reasoning: i don't want to copy/paste the same stuff. it's boring. also, i'd like to get google to index me, and posting a bunch of links helps. also, i want more traffic on my site, and by linking you to it, if you go, i get hits and then i win... or something.

after dinner tonight, i slept... 4 hours. i slept from 7 to 11. i only woke up when stacy called. for the past couple of hours, i've been playing some computer games. i wonder if i'll be able to sleep later... i think i will.

an end and a beginning

so i've just about finished the web site i told you guys about a while back. i'm actually stuck until i get more info from Mike. i'm pretty pumped since it was my first website to ever sell.

i haven't been paid yet, so i don't want Mike getting any business from the site yet (though it's online and fully functional). i don't want google to index it, so i'm not going to post up a link, but I will when i get paid.

i sold my second site! last friday i learned that i wasn't going to be able to get hired until about June 10. that put a severe dent in my financial plans for the month. so i went about selling another web site. it was a One Shot, One Kill thing. i targeted one business and sold it to that very first business. i'm going to split it with my little brother, paul, though i could do it all myself. paul needs the money, though.

he's got a better eye for style than i do. he's pretty much going to be in charge of making sure all the content is going to look good on the page. i'm going to be in charge of gathering content and making sure that the look (as well as content) of the site is what the company wants. as far as actual content entry, we'll split that according to who has how much work to do at that moment.

anyway, i sold that bad boy for $1,000. i have a final meeting to solidify the agreement (probably have some written contract) next wednesday, but it's pretty much a sure thing. i'm excited. selling one website to a sucker is easy. selling a second website to two computer-literate people is a bit harder.

the final

so i finished my history final yesterday. after church, i went out and ate, then went home and was in bed by 11. i woke up at 10 to my alarm clock. that's the most sleep i've gotten all semester. it felt SOOO GOOD.

my new power supply and ethernet card are coming in (hopefully tomorrow). they're in memphis right now. for those of you who don't know, those are computer parts.

my last thing this semester is one final. it's from 9:30-11:30 wednesday. i'm not worried, seeing as he gave us a CROSSWORD puzzle as a study guide.

i'm definately ready to get this semester over with and to get to work. making money feels good.

format and reinstall the history final

so i read the prompt wrong for my history final. i just wrote an 8-page outline on the WRONG QUESTION! i thought it was asking "if the founding fathers were looking at present-day from 1876, what would they have to say" and what it really was is "if the founding fathers were looking at 1876 from the time when they lived, what would they say"... so, i got to format/reinstall my outline. the paper is not going to be nearly as good (i was really excited about it).

the final is a 10-12 page paper... i've had the prompt since the beginning of the semester and guess what?! this is the first time i actally read what he meant to say rather than what he said he said...

$120 a minute.

The Storm

so i was stuck out at stacy's house last night because of the storm... couldn't leave until 2. after i got home, i couldn't get up for my alarm. i woke up at 9:04. class is supposed to start at 9:05. as i walked in, the rest of the class was about 1/2 way through taking a quiz. i finished it, but seriously, one more minute and i'd have missed it completely

Human Video

stacy and i are in charge of a human video for Fine Arts. we had 10 people. one dropped so we added another. now we're down to 7. it's fine, because i'm much better with small groups. i'd probably do much better with a 4 person group anyway. we have 4 weeks to practice before the competition. if we get a 36 out of 40, we get to go to nationals. i'm pretty excited.

our church has never done a very energetic human video before, so i don't have much experience with them. i think this one's working out pretty well, though. we already have the whole thing learned. not many people miss practices, and we have a very good group. everyone's really willing to try stuff and they're patient with me and stacy.

it's interresting to see how stacy and i work together. mmm... let's just say that it's something we should work on, but it's not bad.

it would be double cool to have a human video that we created and taught go to nationals... fun...

The Girlfrend

so as of today, stacy and i have been dating one glorious year... it's been a good year! she's on spring break, so she's going to class with me... i wonder how she's going to like my sociology prof. she'll probably not like her. but it'll be fun having her in class. a good distraction from the monotony.

i'm really jazzed about this whole one year thing. i only had 2 other girlfriends in high school. i haven't had a girlfriend for more than a few months since... ... annie... and for those of you who don't know, annie was before high school.

i was wrestling last night. Chris and i were wrestling Ken (a 2nd degree blackbelt). we won, but i got this great red mark all over my upper arm from his shoe (i was holding both his legs) and i got a black eye! stacy's not so happy about it... to mention it, neither is my mom, but i think it's not too bad. i wish i had a stinkin' camera, i'd post up a pic. if i get the chance, i will.

as it is, i'm feeling great (with a slight headache).

alright, geniuses-i have several problems. one that is getting on my neves at the moment is pdf files. i am scanning lead sheets and saving them as pdf files. then i'm trying to convert them to text. it's not working. help me out guys... i can't find a freeware that does it.

i failed my grain test... big fat F

so i got home WAY sleep deprived, so it should have been really easy to go to sleep. didn't work... i ended up doing some homework and watching half of pirates of the carribean before i fell asleep...

then i only slept for an hour. what a pain... i guess i'll be passing out earlier tonight. i just hope i'm not over at stacy's when it hits me... that would suck.

sorry i've been out of it for a while... i've been doing a whole lot of... ... really nothing. so tomorrow (tuesday) i have to be at Vanderbilt at 8:30 for a brain test. this one's easy. basically, they stick suction cups on my head and monitor my brain waves as i sleep. easy? yes! only one catch... i have to be sleep deprived and have had no caffeine... this could be a real challenge... i have to get through another class, then have 2 band practices, then drive for 1 1/2 hours and stay up till 3 (at least, that's what i'm shooting for) without DP... not going to be an easy day for me... i'm already babbling like an idiot... wow i'm acting stupid... ugh
